Home opener was a tough loss for New Hampton

The Huskies had a tough start to the game, but then started to make small improvements throughout the game to come back to life.
The Huskies struggled through the first period as they fell into a 0-4 hole against Phillips Exeter. However, they were able to pull together and start to make some small improvements. Ellie B. had some nice carries down the ice to give the Huskies some offensive opportunities. Brinly J. was recognized for her strong plays on defense. Sam D. played on defense for the first time and looked like a natural. Julia G. had some shots on net that just missed. Virginia K., Natalie P. and Emma Y. played their very first hockey game and did great. Emma T. stepped into net and had some nice saves for the Huskies. Before the game, Zola B. was recognized as being chosen team captain. The assistant captains are Bridget C., Jacqui G. and Emma T. The Huskies look to continue to improve their game and can't wait to play their next game against Kimball Union Academy.
