New Hampton Tops Milton in Season Opener

The Huskies traveled south to Milton Academy to open the season on the road.  The Huskies jumped to a red hot start.  Lexi Kesselring '21 scored 7 points on her first game back after an injury put her on the sidelines for most of last year's season.  The Huskies saw every player on the court in the first half, and led at the half 31-13.  The Broncos would not lay down and accept defeat and fought valiantly in the second half.  Due to a foul trouble in the second half, the Huskies let the Broncos cut the lead to 45-50 before taking control of the game in the final 3 minutes.  Amelia Clairmont '19 hit a big 3 down the stretch to solidify the win, and she would finish with 17 points.  Amanda DeAngelis '20 led all scorers with 18 points. Jazz Peterson '21 and Lily McAdams '21 scored their first points as Huskies, and Sera Hodgson '21 chipped in 4 while Sydney Noyes '19 and Alli Cavallo '19 had 5 apiece.
