Huskies Tie at Holderness

The Huskies traveled to Holderness School to play a tight game against our local rival. The first half we held our ground but had trouble managing our space, the addition of being on a grass field did not help our speed of play. Junior Jess Burwell had a lot of shots and freshman Ally Prentice did her best on attack but the star of the first half was senior defender Jessie Hounchell who flew down the sidelines to chase down the Holderness forwards multiple times. We scored on a shot for Jess Burwell, assisted off Liv Sollows’s deflected penalty shot in the middle of the first half. Goal keeper Emma Thorsson has several great saves in the net. In the second half, we did a great job maintaining the midfield and had a few more good opportunities to score indluding shots from Ally Prentice, Meg Edwards, Liv Sollows, and Anna Sheldon. Holderness scored late in the second half off of a breakaway that Emma came out for but ultimately ended up tying the game.
