Huskies Fall to Bobcats in Close Match

The Huskies traveled to cloudy Wolfeboro this Wednesday to compete against Brewster. The first half got off to a great start, the Huskies played tight pressure through the midfield and found Kylee Bowen and Sam Rivet charging up the field for a few strong attacking runs. Ally Prentice and Jess Burwell worked hard up top, mustering a few shots on goal, along with one from Lindsey Duggan in the first half. Brewster struck first with a shot from the top of the 18 yard box that found the far post. The Huskies came out flying in the second half, working hard to find feet and make clean passes across the defense. 60 minutes into the game, Maryellen Leach hit the back of the net after a scuffle from a corner kick, tying the game. Brewster struck again with a little less than 8 minutes left in the half with a goal very similar to their first that dinked off the right post for the game-winning goal.

The Huskies will travel to Proctor on Saturday for a 2:30 pm game
