Huskies lost 1-0 to Proctor on Wednesday.
The Huskies battled hard against Proctor on Senior Day in a game that ended with just a single run scored between both teams. Maryellen Leach led New Hampton on the mound, striking out 12 batters on the day. The rest of the team was perfect on the field, with putouts by Maddy Young, Courtney Colarullo, Ellie Beaudet, Maddie Willingham, Maddie Crowley-Cahill, and Zola Braswell. No errors were recorded.

Proctor was able to take advantage at the plate after Leach was hit in the hand by a hard line drive. Shortly after, the Hornets scored the lone run of the game with a solo homerun in the top of the seventh inning.

The Huskies were unable to generate any offense of their own, losing 1-0. Leading the Huskies at the plate were Savannah Norcross with a single and Ellie Beaudet with two singles.

The Huskies celebrated senior Savannah Norcross, a 4-year starter and 3-sport varsity athlete at New Hampton. She will go on to play Division I ice hockey at Boston College in the fall. New Hampton travels to KUA on Saturday to play a double header.
