New Hampton School Huskies Holds Onto Victory As Gould Academy Almost Erases 6-Run Deficit

New Hampton School got out to a six-run lead in the fourth inning and held on for a 10-8 victory over Gould Academy on Saturday. 

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. New Hampton School collected seven hits and Gould Academy had seven.

New Hampton pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Jake Proccacianti's sac fly scored one run for New Hampton and Caleb Duggan singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

New Hampton scored four runs in the fourth inning. New Hampton's big inning was driven by a single by Proccacianti and a double by Alex Rives.

Jameson Goff was the winning pitcher for New Hampton. He lasted four innings, allowing two hits and four runs while striking out four and walking zero. Noah Bolduc threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
