Huskies Win in Final Outing Against Holderness

The Huskies bounced back and picked up a win today against both Holderness and Vermont. Given transportation issues on New Hampton's end, the three teams played a Stableford format utilizing the best 5 scores of each team. The Huskies struggled to get start after the long ride, a very quick warm up, and unfamiliarity with the course. However they quickly found their stride and put up some strong scores. Jess Burwell (4) led with a team low of 38 and contributing 30 points to the match. Lynden Breen (1) and Michael Kesselring (2) each shot 40, contributing 28 and 24 points respectively. Troy Coan (3) and Louis Liang (6) each shot 43 and contributing 24 and 23 points. The great play team-wide led the the Huskies to a decisive win by 20 points, pushing the team record to 2-1 against Holderness and 1-0 against Vermont. With one Lakes Region match left in the season before the final tournament, the team looks forward to playing a tough match against Tilton and ultimately preparing for the Lakes Region Championship.
