Huskies Win Opening Match

Huskies pick up a win in their opening match 7-2. Lynden Breen (1) finished with the lowest overall score on the day, coming back after going down on the first three holes to win on the final hole. Troy Coan (2) won decisively by closing the match on the 6th. Michael Kesselring (3) traded leads with Proctor's third, winning by hitting a clutch par the 9th. Alec Grace (4) also traded leads with Proctor, but got comfortable on the Par 3 6th, hitting a par and coasting into a win. Louis Liang (6) won his match after 3 consecutive pars on 6,7, and 8. Jess Burwell (5) played a strong match, going down early but regaining a hole shortly after, before ultimately being outplayed down the stretch. New Hampton took 2 out of the 3 best balls. All and all a strong team victory for the Huskies on their first day playing competitively. On Monday the team takes on a talented Exeter team.
