Snow Bowl on Kennedy Field

In the first of what could be many McMahon family rivalries, brothers T.J '21 and Liam '12 faced on with the elder coaching a scrappy Tilton squad. The Rams headed north on Rt. 93 in a snow squal and the game was played with orange balls to be seen among the gathering drifts. The game was a wild one from the get-go and it remained close early. Struggling with the face-off, the Huskies made up for it with air-tight defense and better play in transition. You would be hard pressed to know that this was the same team that took the field for the first time just two days ago. Tilton came out of the half ready to rumble and took some excellent opportunities into their offensive end. Ian B. '20 made some excellent saves showing growth from last season. The weather was his enemy as one shot took a funny hop but he remained calm and coordinated the defense and led better transition efforts in a game when nobody had good footing and passing and catching became a priority ability. The Young Huskies continue to grow but look ahead to a busy week next week with three big games. We play at Holderness to kick things off on Wednesday.
