NHS vs. Vermont Academy

The Huskies would host Lakes Region opponent, Vermont Academy. In their last matchup at the championship game of the Cushing Tournament, Vermont Academy came away victorious. The Huskies would look to find success in this game and earn a Lakes Region victory. In the first period, the Huskies came out strong and senior Savannah Norcross '18 would beat the Vermont Academy goalie gloveside, not once but twice, to give the Huskies a 2-0 lead. In the second period, the Huskies would score two power-play goals each by Anna Shelden '20 and Lily Humphrey '19, giving the Huskies a 4-0 lead. In the third period, the Huskies would find themselves on a 3v5 situation, in which Vermont Academy capitalized to make the score 4-1. The Huskies were able to hold them off and earn a great team victory.
