Great game overall for the Huskies

The Huskies played very well together and had an exciting game against Proctor Academy.
After a long weekend and some rest, the Huskies came out flying and looking great against Proctor Academy. The team worked well together, executing their plays. Emma Thorsson was able to score the first goal of the game. Meghan Evans dumped the puck into the corner, and Emma retrieved the puck. She carried it out of the corner towards the net, and scored on her shot. The shots were pretty even in the first period. During the second period, Proctor dominated the game out shooting the Huskies 17 to 8. Having trouble breaking the puck out of the zone, Proctor capitalized on the opportunity and scored a goal to tie the game. The Huskies responded by coming back and having a strong third period. Early in the third period, Meghan scored by tipping the puck into the net with a shot from Colleen Harriman. The Huskies were able to hold on to the lead for the remainder of the game. The defense played a great game. With only three girls rotating on defense, they were very impressive. The defense were made up of Elizabeth Beaudet, Nikki Bronson and Brinly Janelle. Averill McCorkle played in net making 34 saves.
