New Hampton Sweep Season Series vs. Brewster

New Hampton took on Brewster in a league game Friday night. Both teams came out cold, shooting very poor percentages and missing open shots. New Hampton did jump out to a 7-0 lead thanks to big men; Charlie Raisin and David Henriquez. That would be the largest lead New Hampton had all night though. Brewster buckled down on defense and were prepared for NHS and their high-powered offense. Max Davis poured in 9 first-half points that passed the Husky offense in the first half. NHS led by 3 at the half.
The well-coached Brewster team came out strong in the second half. They started to hit shots and again played strong defense. Brewster hit 5 3-pointers in the second half that go their offense going. Guthrie Little and Adrian Juilland-Johnson made hustle plays that gave NHS the momentum they needed in the second half. 5 players in the second half scored at least 5 points for the Huskies. This is the kind of balanced attack that makes New Hampton so dangerous heading into the most critical part of the season. Max Davis finished with a team high 15 points, Guthrie Little and Marcus Peterson both chipped in 11 and David Henriquez had 9. New Hampton faces Lee on back-to-back nights next weekend to wrap up the regular season.
