NHS riders take 1st place for boys and girls overall in Mt. Sunapee Slopestyle Competition

Three out of five NHS riders make podium in first slopestyle competition of the year.

Alexa Mailloux takes 1st place overall for the girls, Mason Howe takes 1st place overall for the boys, and Ben DiGrande finishes 3rd.
Alexa Mailloux charged today’s competition making her way through both rail/box sections and sending both jump lines. She earned 1st place overall out of the nine girls.

Mason Howe was dialed in throughout this competition. Some highlight tricks included a 50-50 through a waterfall rail to backside 180 out, a gap over a flat-down rail to backside board slide, and consecutive 360’s over both jump lines. His heavy quiver of tricks throughout the day earned him 1st place overall out of the 31 boys competing.

Ben DiGrande also had a solid day, making his way through the more challenging rail features, and blasting over both jump lines. Ben placed 3rd overall for the boys for the day.

Slaton Fenci placed 18th and Ray Aley placed 29th after taking a nasty spill during his first run on an elevated rail feature.

The team was pumped to hear their results and look forward to another slopestyle competition next week at Loon.
