Jacqui Galea with 4 goals to help the Huskies win against Holderness School

New Hampton played Holderness for the second time, and were able to come out on top. 
Holderness was able to take an early lead scoring on us. However, a few minutes later, Jacqui Galea was able to score on a rebound with Meg Evans and Colleen Harriman's help. During a power play, Jacqui scored again with another assist from Colleen. However, before the period ended, Holderness was able to tie the game, 2-2. Elizabeth Beaudet had some great stops on defense. Emily White had some great passes to her line mate Claudia Verona-Martinez. In the second period, New Hampton took the lead again with a breakaway goal by Jacqui. Going into the third period, Holderness was again able to tie the game, now 3-3. The third period ended up being a very strong period for the Huskies. Jacqui scored again with an assist from Meg, giving NHS the lead. While on a penalty kill, Emma Thorsson and Bridget Conkling were able to pressure Holderness. Emma got a shot off, and Bridget was able to get the rebound for a goal. Holderness pulled the goalie towards the end of the game. Zola Brawsell was able to clear the puck down ice into the empty net to secure the win. Averill McCorkle played in net and picked up the win. Brinly Janelle was recognized at the end of the game for showing great improvement on defense. Gillian Bonin was also recognized for skating hard and playing well.
