Unfortunately, Hebron was unable to beat Pingree, thus New Hampton did not make the Championship Game. However, the Huskies will play the other host team, Brooks School, in their last game before break. Looking to keep their winning streak alive, the Huskies came out flying. For the first nine minutes, New Hampton dominated the play, creating one offensive chance after another, but were unable to beat the Brooks goaltender. Finally, just past the nine-minute mark, Lukas Uhler made a shot pass that Alec Grace deflected in, giving New Hampton the lead. A minute and a half later, the passing of Thomas Albert and Cory Morris sent Bradley Shaw in on a breakaway. Shaw made no mistake ripping a shot top corner to put the Huskies up by two. A minute later, Lukas Uhler stole the puck shorthanded and passed to Joe Dunlap for a goal, adding to the Huskies lead. New Hampton finished the period controlling the play, leading 3-0. In the second, the game saw more back and forth hockey, but New Hampton was able to score the only goal. Eamon Siliva-Chandley scored his third goal of the tournament, banging home a rebound off of Cory Lyons shot. Heading into the third period, New Hampton was up four goals and looked to finish out the tournament on a solid note. Two and a half minutes into the period, Bradley Shaw scored his second goal of the game to increase the Huskies lead to five. Just over a minute later, Alec Grace was set up by Uhler again, for his second goal of the game. Matt Sayles stopped the rest of the shots that came his way to earn the shutout victory. Although the tournament might not have started how New Hampton wanted, they finished on a high note, heading into a nice break for the holidays.
