Huskies Down the Hoggers

After a snow cancellation on Saturday, the Huskies and the Hoggers were able to face-off after a 24-hour delay.  In a tough match-up, the two teams battled for control of the game for the first half.  NMH scored the first two points of the game on a pair of free throws and the gritty game ensued.  Both teams had strong defensive stands as well as shares of offensive momentum.  However, it was the Huskies run around the 10 minute mark of the second half that sealed the fate of the game.  Freshman Seraphina Hodgson '21 ran the point like a veteran and tallied a 2-1 assist to turnover ratio for the game.  Amelia Clairmong '19 and Eva Hodgson '18 led the Husky attack with 19 points and 16 points and 9 rebounds, respectively.  Amanda DeAngelis '20 contributed 8 points and 7 rebounds to board.  Although the Huskies finally found their rhythm on offense, it was the New Hampton defense that disrupted and shut down some extremely talanted, NMH scorers.

The Huskies will hit the hardwood again this Friday/Saturday for the Nickerson Classic hosted by the Noble & Greenough School in Dedham, MA.
