“The Addams Family Young@Part” features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.
Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents. The production features 18 of New Hampton School’s finest student actors and musicians. It will be the final performance by NHS thespians Torre Davy ’17 ( Gomez), Leo Liang ’17 (Uncle Fester), Brighid Martin ’17 (Alice), and Jack Wagner ’17 (Lurch) who have been vital to the success of NHS’s theatre program over their four-years of service.

Director of Performing Arts Joe Sampson directs and says that he will miss working with this genuinely fun and hard-working group of students. Their spirit and collegiality has been contagious. Kyle Masterson is Musical Director and Meredith C. Brown designs the sets.

The play will be in New Hampton School's McEvoy Theatre on Saturday, May 13, at 7 pm.
