Brighton Beach Memoirs by Neil Simon is the Fall Play!
New Hampton School's Performing Arts Department will stage its fall play, Brighton Beach Memoirs, by Neil Simon on November 13-14. The public is invited to the November 14 show, which will be in the school's McEvoy Theater at 7:30 PM.
Admission is a recommended donation of $15 for adults and $10 for children and seniors. The show is free to NHS Community members and any resident of New Hampton village with a valid ID.
Directed by NHS Director of Performing Arts Joe Sampson, Brighton Beach Memoirs is a seriocomic play about a family living in Brooklyn during the Great Depression. It is also the coming of age story of Eugene Morris Jerome, a 14 year old boy growing up in a crowded house with his parents, brother, aunt, and two cousins.
