Yes! Our students explore the outdoors and use the enviornment as their palette! Experimentation and group work are emphasized along with discussion and sketchbook use. Our mediums include stone, wood, snow, flowers, water, and twigs.
A lifelong Northeasterner, Charlie joined the New Hampton community in 2014. He previously taught Photography and Graphic Design at the Oliverian School in Pike, NH. Prior to that, he spent three years in New Orleans working for an experiential education non-profit. Charlie earned his BS in Studio Art from Skidmore College and also spent time studying at the Glasgow School of Art. Here at New Hampton, he teaches in the Art Department, coaches Men’s Varsity Soccer, and leads the Outing Club. Charlie is the House Head in Caswell where he lives with his wife, Cath, and daughter, Mariposa, and their cat, Ralph. In their free time, Charlie, Cath, and Poe love to travel, hike, camp, kayak, and cook.
