New Hampton School Library

Academic Research Center

New Hampton School’s Library, located in the Academic Research Center (ARC), welcomes all students, faculty and staff to share the numerous resources available. Our facilities can accommodate the singular student looking for a private study area or small collaborative study groups or entire classes working on individual research projects. The Library’s collection contains over 24,000 titles including books, ebooks, serials, audiobooks and DVDs.

Nine computers are provided for student and faculty access to the Internet, our online resources, the school’s network, Microsoft Outlook email, and OPALs, the Library’s web-based card catalog. Within the OPALs collection are links to over 8,600 ebooks through Proquest ebrary. A multipurpose copier is also available.

The Library participates in NHAIS, the New Hampshire Automated Information System, allowing us to search the collections of more than 400 public, school and academic libraries throughout the state. If items in our collection do not meet the needs of a student or faculty member, we can Interlibrary Loan materials from these other New Hampshire libraries. Simply ask a librarian.

The Library is extremely grateful for the many gifts of the New Hampton School community including alumni and friends. These gifts have enriched and improved our library. Please contact the library director for a list of acceptable donations. While most items will be added to our collection, we cannot guarantee the addition of all donated items. Any unused items will be sold, donated or discarded. Gifts will be withdrawn in the same manner as purchased material. The Library does not accept responsibility for notifying donors of withdrawals or replacement of gift items.
