 | We don’t expect every student to learn the same way, to bring the same
academic background, or to progress at the same rate. In fact, we like
having an interesting mix. Since we believe that competent students
become confident ones, we tailor our classes to accommodate a wide
range of academic skills and offer a spectrum of learning experiences.
Our honors classes, Advanced Placement courses, and self-styled
independent study options give high-performing students opportunities
to probe more deeply into specialized knowledge and thought-provoking
issues. Also available are multi-level tutorials, in which customized
individual and small-group sessions support students’ own efforts to
study and learn more effectively. Our attentive and specially trained
faculty tutors explore many ways to help students understand their
individual learning styles and capitalize on their strengths.
In
addition to in-classroom instruction we also strongly believe in
experiential education opportunities. Select Service Learning or
Adventure Education to learn more about these very important offerings
in our program. |
