One of the Best Springs Ever: Four Teams Win Lakes Region Titles

Will McCulloch
The Spring Season is sometimes short because of winter weather, but a number of Husky teams this season took the window of opportunity and left a legacy for Husky teams of the future to follow. The baseball, softball, women's lacrosse, and women's tennis teams each secured Lake Regions titles. Meanwhile, the men's tennis team and the men's lacrosse team finished in second place with the men's lacrosse team securing its finest season in recent memory.

"Our programs continue to evolve and grow each year," Director of Athletics Jamie Arsenault said. "I am thrilled with the success of our teams, but I am post proud of the way our teams competed with wonderful sportsmanship and incredible spirit."

The women's lacrosse team rattled off big wins over Holderness, Brewster, and KUA down the stretch to finish with a 7-2 record in the Lakes Region and share a piece of the title. The Men's Baseball team won the Lakes Region Tournament title with wins over Brewster, Tilton, and Holderness in the final week. The Huskies finished their season a 9-2 tear after starting 1-7. The softball team dominated opponents all season, finishing with an 11-1 season and a title. The women's tennis team also won a title and finished 8-2. The Men's lacrosse team finished second in the Lakes Region to Brewster with 10-4 overall record and knocked off Holderness in overtime for the program's first win over the Bulls in 20 years.
