Winter Sports Playoff Results

Four NHS winter sports teams, Women's Varsity Basketball, Men's Varsity Hockey, Men's Varsity A Basketball, and Men's Varsity B Basketball saw playoff action this season. 

 

Women's Varsity Basketball fell to Rivers in a tightly contested game in the quarterfinals, but posted an impressive 17 wins and 10 losses record. To read a write up on the game, please click here.  

 

Men's Varsity Hockey finished their season as the Lakes Region runners up losing to a tough Kimball Union team in the championship contest. Their season was not over however as they qualified for NEPSAC Small School where they fell to St. Marks in a quarterfinal contest. The squad finished with a record of 17 wins, 18 losses, and 3 ties. The team showed a never give up attitude and challenged every team they faced. 

 

Men's Varsity A Basketball defeated South Kent School to advance to the NEPSAC AAA semifinals where the would fall to Brewster. To read a write up of this contest, please click here. The team finished with a record of 21 wins and 9 losses — impressive in the highly competitive AAA division. 

 

The Men's Varsity B Basketball team finished their season with a record of 16 wins and 4 losses and the title of MAISAD Champions. The team defeated Kents Hill School 50-42 in the championship game.
