Athletes of the Month—December

The December Male Athlete of the Month is awarded to varsity hockey’s Josh Pope-Ferguson for his aggressive play and ability to put the puck in the net. Last month, the team went 5-4-1. Josh contributed 5 points in a 6-4 win over Winchendon and a total of 17 points in the 10 games. He finished the month in the top five in all of prep scoring. Josh contributed 5 goals and 2 assists at the Brooks Tournament, including an overtime winner versus Hebron and 2 goals in the final versus Millbrook School.

 

The December Female Athlete of the Month is awarded to varsity hockey’s Cayla Barnes for her consistently high level of play. She averaged 1.5 points per game leading the team with 15 points through the first 10 games. During that stretch, Cayla helped the team to a school record start of 9-1 with program-changing wins over Nobles (first ever) and a championship at the E.G. Watkins Tournament at the beginning of break. She was selected to represent Team USA for a second time at the U18 World Championships in Toronto, Ontario.
