  • November Female Athlete of the Month

McKenzie Haberl is a member of the Women’s Varsity Field Hockey team. She is nothing but tenacious as an athlete. With a quick stick, lightning fast feet and no fear, McKenzie is a force to be reckoned with! She wears down opponents with her speed, wins corners by easily putting the ball into the defender’s feet, and shoots the ball with power any chance she gets. With 16 goals this season, including the game winner in the Huskies’ quarter finals win over Brewster, McKenzie is clearly a driver of the offense. However, her leadership extends beyond her offensive threat. McKenzie plays hard, she keeps the energy high at practice and she loves to play. You will often see a smile on her face or hear a little laugh come from her mouth mid-game. She manages to balance the amazing art of keeping the game light while playing hard. For her leadership and consistently hard play the Athletic Department awards the November Female Athlete of the Month to Mckenzie Haberl.

  • November Male Athlete of the Month

Jake Dulac is a member of the Varsity Football team.  When Coach Marcella asks his team “What’s the most important play in any game?” his players know the correct response is always “the next one!”  That means whether good or bad, you cannot dwell on the results of the previous play—because you can’t change it.  Jake plays the game with a unique brand of cool intensity, and he has completely bought into that philosophy.  Although football might be considered his "2nd sport" the passion and competitive spirit with which he plays the game is exemplary.  A 2-way performer, Jake registered 11 tackles on defense while rushing for 152 yards on 21 carries and 1 touchdown, and he chipped in with 422 passing yards completing 18 of 30 attempts and 6 touchdowns. For his leadership and calm, cool demeanor, the Athletic Department awards the November Male Athlete of the Month to Jake Dulac.
